Dick Hughes Biography

FROM THE BEGINNING…
After 20 years in the electronics and manufacturing industry, Dick decided that Real Estate would be a greater challenge.
In 1984, he opened the doors to American Brokers and became committed to making his dream a reality. Starting any business is an intimidating task, but it wasn’t long before Dick got involved with what he does best…helping people.
As a Past President of the Local Chamber of Commerce, Dick played a key role in planning the successful economic development of his community, again bringing people together.
A term as President of the Local Chapter of the Lion’s Club and 16 years as Leadership Trainer for the Cub Scouts adds to his recognition as CITIZEN OF THE YEAR in 1994.
Whether it’s promoting water safety as Commander of the United States Power Squadron, spearheading the annual fundraiser for “Jerry’s Kids” or organizing the distribution of 25,000 American Flags in the area communities for the 4th of July, just a few minutes with Dick Hughes and it becomes quickly apparent that he is a Mover and Shaker!
